On May 2nd between 6–9pm, join Scholars Gia Abucejo, Ka’Ori Frazier Sayles, Jacey Lozada, and Jean Ortiz for a pop-up exhibition and zine workshop at The Lab @ Silver Eye during Unblurred: First Fridays!

⁠Explore an exhibition themed around arranging disparate practices and finding unexpected connections between them. Then, dive into the accompanying zine workshop, where you’re invited to create your own assemblage of ideas and images in a collaborative, hands-on space.

No materials or experience needed—just bring your curiosity and an open mind.

UNBLURRED

Each month, people from all over the region stroll Penn Avenue between the 4800 and 5500 blocks to meet with artists and local business owners. Visitors can expect to see everyone and everything. Families, singles, workers, students, long-time residents and first-time visitors alike can bask in Penn Avenue's creative energy – experiencing a mix of photography, dance, painting, sculpture, music and spoken word performances. The Garfield Night Market also takes place during Unblurred from May through September.
