Channel Silver Eye Presents: Imag(in)ing Loss: Media and Melancholy in Feminist Experimental Film

CHANNEL SILVER EYE

Imag(in)ing Loss: Media and Melancholy in Feminist Experimental Film

Curated by Emi Finkelstein, PhD student in the History of Art and Architecture, University of Pittsburgh

Silver Eye is happy to introduce Channel Silver Eye, a micro cinema series in our Penn Avenue gallery. Our debut screening is curated by Emi Finkelstein, and presents three films by female artists: Mona Hatoum's Measures of Distance, Shigeko Kubota's My Father, and Hito Steyerl's Lovely Andrea. Each of these films focus around notions of loss and materiality in different manners. Emi will introduce the program, and there will be time for a question and answer session after the screening.

Please join us for our first Channel Silver Eye event! Register for this event below.
