Connections @ Silver Eye: Tom Gitterman
October 27 - 29, 2017
Co-presented with the PGH Photo Fair
Tom Gitterman has been working in the fine art photography world for the past 27 years. He is currently the owner of Gitterman Gallery in New York City, which he founded in 2003. Gitterman Gallery is committed to presenting great art and specializes in connoisseur-level photographs. In addition to representing artists, estates, and private collections, Gitterman Gallery maintains an inventory of selective work that spans the history of the medium in a full range of styles and periods. Gitterman Gallery has examples of fine work by established artists and also champions artists that have been overlooked by the history of the medium.
Connections @ Silver Eye creates opportunities to engage with our exhibitions and contemporary photography in meaningful and compelling ways. This series of lectures, discussions, and workshops will connect people who are interested in learning more about the photographic arts to curators, gallerists, artists, publishers, editors, and critics from beyond the region. Throughout the year, Connections @ Silver Eye invites influential and informative people in the field of photography to speak about their passion, share their expertise, and engage with the Silver Eye community. Connections @ Silver Eye encourages professional and technical growth for artists, practical advice and guidance for collectors, and sharing of scholarship and research that enriches the field.
