PASA Farm Images: Call for Photographers

The Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) is mounting an exhibition of projected photographs of Pennsylvania and regional small farms, farm products, farmers, their families, their crops and livestock, and the ups and downs of feeding us all with locally-produced food. For the past two years, Silver Eye Center for Photography has been a proud co-sponsor of this exhibition. The projected exhibition runs continuously on a 25 foot screen in the main hall where 2,000 people gather all day and evening for the three days of the conference. Silver Eye member Donald L. Gibbon is now accepting emails of three images to show him where you are in this process. The images should be jpeg files about 300KB, 150 dpi resolution, 7-inch maximum image dimension. He will review your images and be in touch. Ultimately, he will want a CD with 10-12 images and a personal statement in mid-December 2009. Photographers interested in participating in this PASA exhibition, are urged to contact Donald L. Gibbon. Click here to email him: dongibbon@earthlink.net

A Green Eye on Western PA: GASP Call for Photographers

The Group Against Smog and Pollution (GASP) is currently accepting environmentally-themed images for their juried photography exhibition. Deadline for entries: July 24, 2009. Photographs must be taken in Western Pennsylvania and have an environmental message. This could be a celebration of nature, an exposure of the effects of humans on the environment, or any other theme that has a relationship to appreciating and/or protecting our environment. This is an open juried exhibition for photographers of all ages. Click here to learn more and to download the application on the GASP website.
