ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Inner City

My work explores border regions, marginal communities and the people who inhabit them. I am drawn to the complexity of environments where there is a sense of urgency – places that hover between collapse and regeneration, These regions provide windows onto the broader society and the forces and interests at play. Here at the edges, we see the strains and cracks of the contemporary world: the poor and discarded, the fractured environments and ecosystems – the underside of prosperity and ambitions.
